Trinidad and Tobago is a twin-island country located in the Caribbean Sea with a population of approximately 1.4 million people. English is the official language of the country and is spoken by the vast majority of the population. Trinidad and Tobago is also home to a Creole language known as Trinidadian Creole English or "Trini Creole," which has its roots in English, French, and various African languages.

Trinidad and Tobago is a multicultural and multi religious country, with freedom of religion. Christianity is the largest religion in Trinidad and Tobago, with approximately 55% of the population identifying as Christian. The Roman Catholic Church is the largest Christian denomination in the country, with approximately 26% of the population belonging to the Church. Hinduism is the second-largest religion in Trinidad and Tobago, with approximately 18% of the population identifying as Hindu. Islam is the third-largest religion in the country, with approximately 6% of the population identifying as Muslim.
