New Testament in Achi Rabinal (ACCNNT)

Overview

This is the New Testament in the Rabinal dialect of the Achi language, titled "Ri utzilaj tzij re ri kanimajawal Jesucristo" in the vernacular. Achi (ISO 639-3: acr) is a Mayan language closely related to K'iche', spoken by approximately 85,000 people primarily in the department of Baja Verapaz in Guatemala ^[1][2]. The Rabinal Achi dialect is one of two Achi dialects, the other being Cubulco Achi spoken to the west ^[1]. This New Testament was published in 2009 by Wycliffe Bible Translators and is available in both traditional and new orthography editions through mobile apps and other digital platforms ^[3][4]. Bible portions in Achi have been available since 1962, and a complete Bible was published between 2019 and 2023 ^[5].
