Afrikaans Old Bible (AFRABY)

Overview

Passages from the Bible originally translated into Afrikaans in 1878 by CP Hoogenhout, A Pannevis and SJ du Toit. The first complete Bible was published in 1933, the Revised Edition in 1953. This translation is known as the 1933/53-vertaling and is still a very popular traditional translation of the Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic source texts.
