Omie New Testament (AOMWBT)

Overview

The New Testament in the Omie language of Papua New Guinea, published in 1991 under the vernacular title God-are Jögoru Iꞌoho and produced by Wycliffe Bible Translators. [1] Ömie (also spelled Aomie or Upper Managalasi; ISO 639-3: aom) is spoken in Oro Province, in the Afore, Kokoda, and Upper Kumusi districts northwest of the Managalasi area, along the Mamama River and upper Kumusi valley; population estimates range from approximately 1,190 (Glottolog) to 3,200 (Joshua Project). [2] Bible portions were produced between 1975 and 1987, with the New Testament completed in 1991 and the text updated through 2013. [2]
