Ampeeli-Wojokeso New Testament (APZWBT)

Overview

The New Testament and Genesis in the Safeyoka (Ampeeli-Wojokeso) language of Papua New Guinea, published in 1988 under the vernacular title Mpohwoe Hungkuno Songofoho. [1] Safeyoka, also known as Ampale, Ampeeli, Ambari, or Wojokeso, is an Angan language spoken by approximately 2,390–5,100 people in Morobe Province, in the Kaiapit, Lae-Wamba, and Menyamya districts; earlier Bible portions in the language date to 1971–1977. [2] The 1988 translation was published by WHBL (World Home Bible League), South Holland, Illinois, with copyright held by Wycliffe Bible Translators, Inc. [1]
