Audio Bible portions in the Arhuaco (Iku) language covering Genesis, Matthew, Mark, and Acts. Produced by FDPM (Fundación para el Desarrollo de los Pueblos Marginados), a Bogotá-based Wycliffe Global Alliance member organization working with over 84 indigenous Colombian languages. Audio files date from 2019–2020, though earlier text portions may date to 2003–2007. The Arhuaco (Ika) people are a Chibchan-speaking indigenous group of approximately 36,000 living in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. Literacy in the mother tongue is extremely low (1–5%). Capuchin missionaries established schools in 1916 but prohibited use of the Arhuaco language; missionaries were expelled from Arhuaco territory in 1980. No complete New Testament or full Bible exists for Arhuaco as of 2026.
