Dano New Testament 1989 Edition (ASOTBL)

Overview

The Dano New Testament was translated by David Strange and Gladys Strange of the Summer Institute of Linguistics, who worked among the Dano (Upper Asaro) people from 1964 to 1991. [1] The Dano language is spoken by approximately 30,000 people in the Goroka area of the Eastern Highlands Province of Papua New Guinea, with major villages including Kasena, Kofena, Keremu, Mando, and Namta. [2] Published in 1989, this was the first Scripture in the Dano language. The translation was produced by Wycliffe Bible Translators and distributed by the World Home Bible League (Liga Biblica Mundial del Hogar).
