Avokaya New Testament (AVUWBT)

Overview

The Avokaya New Testament was completed in 2002 by Wycliffe Bible Translators and represents the first Scripture published in the Avokaya language. The Avokaya people live primarily in Western Equatoria state of South Sudan, with approximately 99,000 speakers. [1] Following the completion of the New Testament, an Old Testament translation project was begun. Civil unrest has forced many Avokaya families to flee their lands, though churches have been established in each place they have settled. [1]
