Bariba Bible (BBABSB)

Overview

The Bariba Bible is a complete Bible in the Baatonum language, first published in 1996 by the UEEB (Union des Eglises Evangéliques du Bénin) and SIM in Benin. [1] The Bariba people live primarily in the Borgou department of northern Benin and across the border in Nigeria. At 1,572 pages, this is a major translation covering all 66 books of the Protestant canon. The digital edition carries a 2013 copyright from SIM, reflecting an updated release for electronic distribution. [1] SIM has maintained a presence in the Bariba-speaking region from its base in Parakou, Benin, and the translation was produced in partnership with the national evangelical church body (UEEB). [1]
