Audio Bible portions in the Barama (Varama) language, a Bantu Sira-group language spoken by an estimated 1,000–2,100 people in three provinces of Gabon. Produced by CIEATLG (Coordination Inter-Eglises pour la Traduction et l'alphabétisation en Langue Gabonaise), an inter-denominational Catholic and Protestant coordination body for Bible translation and literacy in Gabonese languages. CIEATLG launched its Projet Samba in 2020, working across 16 Gabonese languages to produce written and oral translations, Jesus films, and writing systems. As of 2025, the project has produced written NT translations in 8 languages and partial oral NT translations in all 16 languages. The exact books covered in the Barama audio portions are not publicly documented. No text Bible exists for Barama as of 2026.
