The Revised Old Version in Bhojpuri (BHOROV)

Overview

Bhojpuri is spoken by approximately 50 million people across Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Nepal's Terai regions. It is one of the major languages of northern India and has a long tradition of oral literature and song. The community's literacy rate is around 30%, and agriculture is the primary economic activity.

This 2007 revised edition of the older Bhojpuri Bible text represents a revision of an earlier translation (the Old Version, ca. 1998). It is distinct from the IBT India / Bible Society of India New Testament (BHOAPI) produced in the same year. The Revised Old Version is distributed as audio Scripture through Faith Comes By Hearing and is available both as a streaming resource and as a downloadable app.
