Tangga New Testament (BJPWBT)
Overview
The Tangga New Testament, titled Fanamaket Baibel, was published in 2011--2012 by Wycliffe Bible Translators, Inc. and represents a Scripture translation for the Fanamaket-speaking community of New Ireland Province, Papua New Guinea. [1] The Fanamaket language (ISO 639-3: bjp), also known as Tangga, is an Austronesian language belonging to the Oceanic branch of the Malayo-Polynesian family, spoken on the Tanga and Feni Islands and in several villages in the Tanglamet area of Namatanai, New Ireland. [2] The translation was made available through PNG.Bible and the YouVersion platform, and is distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivatives 4.0 license. [1][3]
