Blang Pulang New Testament (BLRWBT)
Overview
The Blang (also known as Bulang) are one of the 56 officially recognized ethnic minorities of the People's Republic of China, living primarily in the mountainous Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture of southwestern Yunnan Province, as well as related communities in Myanmar. [1] The Blang language belongs to the Palaungic branch of the Austroasiatic (Mon-Khmer) language family and is closely related to the Wa and Lawa languages; within Yunnan, notable dialect divisions include the Bulang and Awa varieties. [2] The vernacular title "Htawm Seungaˊ naˊ gawmˊ" was published in 2021 by Wycliffe Bible Translators, Inc. in the Pulang dialect of Blang, rendered in a Latin-based orthography. [3] This translation is available digitally through YouVersion, the Digital Bible Library, and eBible.org. [3]
