Borôro New Testament (BORWBT)

Overview

The Borôro New Testament was completed in 2020 by Wycliffe Bible Translators. The Borôro (also called Boe) people inhabit eight villages in central Mato Grosso, Brazil, in the Pantanal region and are among the most studied indigenous groups in South America. The Borôro language is critically endangered, with approximately 1,400 speakers remaining. Salesian missionaries have worked among the Borôro since the early 20th century, producing extensive ethnographic documentation.
