Audio Bible portions in the Bubi language (also known as Pove, Vove, Ibubi), a Bantu language spoken by approximately 8,500 people in Gabon's Ogooué-Lolo province. Not to be confused with Bube (ISO bvb) of Bioko Island, Equatorial Guinea — these are different languages. Produced by CIEATLG (Coordination Inter-Eglises pour la Traduction et l'alphabétisation en Langue Gabonaise) as part of their Samba project launched in 2020, which covers 16 Gabonese languages with oral Bible translation, literacy work, and Jesus film production. Bubi is among the 16 languages receiving partial oral NT coverage but is not yet among the 8 with written text translations. No text Bible exists for Bubi as of 2026.
