Southern Bobo Madaré 2004 Edition (BWQBSB)
Overview
The Southern Bobo Madaré New Testament (2004) is a first translation of the New Testament into the Southern Bobo Madaré language, published by the Bible Society of Burkina Faso under the auspices of the United Bible Societies. [1] The Bobo are a Mande ethnic group centered around Bobo-Dioulasso in southwestern Burkina Faso, and this translation serves the spiritual and literacy needs of a community that had no prior Scripture in their mother tongue. [2] The translation contributed to the development of a standardized orthography for Southern Bobo Madaré, supporting broader literacy efforts in the region. [3]
