Buli (Ghana) 1995 Edition (BWUWBT)

Overview

The Buli New Testament, titled "Naawen Gbaŋ Paalika," was completed in 2003 by Wycliffe Bible Translators in cooperation with the Ghana Institute of Linguistics, Literacy and Bible Translation (GILLBT). [1] GILLBT originated from SIL International's first work in Africa, beginning in 1962 as a partnership with the Institute of African Studies at the University of Ghana, and was formally renamed GILLBT in 1982. [2] The translation represents the first New Testament in the Buli language and serves the Buli-speaking community of Ghana's Upper East Region.
