Chuj San Mateo Bible (CACRGB)
Overview
The Chuj San Mateo Bible is a full Bible translation in the San Mateo Ixtatán dialect of the Chuj language, published in 2007 by the Bible Society of Guatemala as a revision of earlier translation work. [1] Chuj is a Q'anjob'alan-Chujean Mayan language with two principal dialects — San Mateo Ixtatán and San Sebastián Coatán — and this translation serves the San Mateo Ixtatán speech community in the Huehuetenango department of western Guatemala. [2] The translation, titled "A Ch'an Biblia D'a Chuj San Mateo," was produced in cooperation with Wycliffe Bible Translators and is available in print, audio, and digital formats. [3]
