Audio Bible portions in Ede Cabe (also known as Tchabè, Caabe, Ṣabẹ), a Yoruboid language of the Ede cluster spoken by approximately 3,800 people in central Benin, primarily around the town of Savè in Collines Department. Produced by Wycliffe Benin (founded 2003) with technical support from SIL Togo-Benin. The Cabe people are a Yoruba-related group whose name derives from their historical city Savè (Ṣábẹ̀ẹ́ in Yoruba), with a confederation documented as far back as the 1894 French protectorate treaty. Their language shares 85–95% lexical similarity with other Ede cluster languages. The community is predominantly traditional/ethnic religion (~88%), with Christianity at approximately 12% and evangelical presence minimal. Classified as an unreached people group. No complete New Testament or text Bible exists for Ede Cabe as of 2026.
