The Lemi Chin New Testament (CEKLKC)

Overview

The Lemi Chin New Testament was completed in 2017 by the Bible Society of Myanmar and Wycliffe Bible Translators. The Eastern Khumi Chin people number approximately 12,000, inhabiting roughly 90 villages in Chin State, Myanmar, concentrated in Paletwa and Matupi townships. [1] Bible portions were available from 2007–2010, with the full New Testament following in 2017 and a complete Bible in 2019. [1] Christianity is practiced by approximately 98% of the Eastern Khumi people, but before this translation, believers had to use Burmese or another Khumi dialect's Scripture, which they struggled to understand.
