Overview
The Bualkhaw Chin 2012 Edition is the New Testament in the Bualkhaw Chin language (also known as Phadei), translated directly from Greek. [1] The Bualkhaw Chin community in Falam Township, Chin State, Myanmar, requested the translation in May 2000, and a translation agreement was signed with Bibles International in 2002. [1] Jonathan Ram Ling served as the primary translator, working with Bibles International and national consultants. [1] A trial edition of John and Romans was published in 2007, and the complete New Testament was printed in 2012, followed by an audio edition in 2016. [1] An Old Testament translation project was begun in 2014, with a trial edition of Genesis and Ruth completed in 2021. [1]
