Overview

The Ajyíninka Apurucayali New Testament, titled Kamiithari Ñaantsi, was published in 2000 by Wycliffe Bible Translators, Inc. [1] Ajyíninka Apurucayali (also known historically as Axininca Campa) is an Arawakan language of the Campa branch, spoken along the Apurucayali tributary of the Pachitea River in the Junín and Pasco departments of Peru; it is one of the five recognized varieties of Ashéninka. [2] SIL researchers have documented the language extensively, including phonological and morphological studies by David Payne (1981). [3] Approximately 4,000 speakers use the language. [2]
