Kwere New Testament (CWEPBT)
Overview
The Kwere New Testament was the first Scripture translation for the Kwere people of Tanzania's Morogoro region, published in 2014 by The Word for the World and Pioneer Bible Translators. [1] It was part of a cluster of ten Tanzanian translation projects launched by Pioneer Bible Translators and The Word for the World between 2006 and 2007, with The Word for the World providing start-up costs. [1] Megan Barton served as translation facilitator; when she joined the project around 2009, the Gospels through Romans had already been completed by national translators, and she worked on the remainder of the New Testament and performed exegetical checking.
