Overview
This is the New Testament in Danish, translated by Dr. T. Skat Rørdam. Third edition, G.E.C. Gads Forlag, 1905.
Thomas Skat Rørdam (1832--1909) was a Danish priest, theologian, and scholar of Syriac who served as Bishop of the Diocese of Zealand from 1895 until his death. [1] He published his Danish New Testament translation with introductions and notes between 1887 and 1892. [1] The translation was never officially authorized by the Danish church but was widely read. This 1905 edition is the third printing. Prior to his appointment as bishop, Rørdam served as a parish priest at the Church of the Holy Ghost in Copenhagen and as provost at Holmen Church. [1]
