Lokpa Bible (DOPBSB)

Overview

The Lokpa Bible is a complete Bible in the Lukpa language (also known as Lokpa or Dompago), published in 1999 by SIM. All 66 books of the Protestant canon are included. The Lukpa people live primarily in the Borgou and Donga departments of northern Benin, with additional speakers in the Kara region of Togo. An earlier Lukpa New Testament had been published by the Bible Society in 1977, making this full Bible the culmination of decades of translation work in the language. [1] The translation was produced in partnership with SIM and the UEEB (Union des Eglises Evangéliques du Bénin). [2]
