Dawik Kui New Testament

Overview

The New Testament in Dawik Kui was published digitally in 2023–2024 by the New Life Computer Institute (NLCI), Bangalore. It is available on YouVersion (version 4238, abbreviation DWK, © 2023 NLCI) in Odia script, and with audio through Faith Comes By Hearing (FCBH code DWKWBT). A dedicated Dawik Kui community ministry site at dawikkui.in offers worship resources in the language.

Joshua Project records a complete Bible (BibleStatus 5) for Dawik Kui with portions dating to 2020; however, only the New Testament has been confirmed in digital distribution channels. The complete Bible may exist in print form.

Language and People

Dawik Kui (ISO 639-3: dwk) is a Dravidian language spoken in Odisha, India. It is distinct from the related Kui language (ISO kxu). It is classified by Joshua Project as a Least Reached language. The language uses the Odia script.
