American Standard Version (Byzantine Text with Apocrypha) (ENGASVB)

Overview

The American Standard Version: Byzantine Text with Apocrypha is a 2021 public domain edition edited by Rev. Robert Adam Boyd, an ordained minister with an M.Div. from Fuller Seminary who also served as a linguist and translator with Wycliffe Bible Translators in Papua New Guinea. [1] The New Testament replaces the Westcott-Hort critical text basis of the original ASV with Robinson and Pierpont's "The New Testament in the Original Greek: Byzantine Textform 2018." [1] The Apocrypha section was adapted from the English Revised Version, Brenton's Septuagint translation, and G. Buchanan Gray's translation, including all books from the NRSV and Rahlfs-Hanhart Septuagint plus 3 & 4 Maccabees, Psalm 151, and the Book of Odes. [1]
