1938 Suomennos Version (FIN38CB)

Overview

The 1938 Finnish Bible (Kirkkoraamattu 1933/38) is the official translation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland. The Old Testament was published in 1933 and the New Testament in 1938, replacing the earlier 1776 Finnish Bible. [1] A translation committee appointed by the Finnish church worked on the revision over several decades, producing a text that served as the standard Finnish Bible throughout the 20th century until a new translation was published in 1992. [1] The OT was published in 1933 and the NT in 1938.
