Scottish Gaelic Bible (GLACON)

Overview

Despite the title, this edition actually contains portions of the Manx Gaelic Bible ("Yn Vible Casherick"), not Scottish Gaelic. The Manx New Testament was published c. 1767 under Bishop Mark Hildesley, and the complete Bible was first published in 1775 by the SPCK, with a revised edition by the BFBS in 1819. [1] This partial digitization contains Esther, Jonah, and the Four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John). The Manx Bible was digitized by the BFBS with MissionAssist in 2017 and checked by the Manx Gaelic Society in 2019. [1] The text is in the public domain.
