Golin New Testament (GVFWBT)

Overview

The Golin New Testament, titled "God ka main buku," was first published in 1980 by Wycliffe Bible Translators, Inc. [1]. Golin is a tonal Papuan language of the Chimbu-Wahgi branch of the Trans-New Guinea language family, spoken in the Gumine District of Simbu (Chimbu) Province in the central highlands of Papua New Guinea [2]. The Golin people, numbering approximately 175,000, are predominantly Christian, and Bible portions in Golin were first produced in 1969-1970 before the complete New Testament was published in 1980 [3].
