Tsoa (also called Tshuwau, Kwe, or Chuwau) is an East Kalahari Khoe language of the Khoe-Kwadi family, spoken by approximately 7,700 people across eastern Botswana and western Zimbabwe. The Tsoa and their linguistic relatives — including the Shua, CireCire, and related Kalahari peoples — are among the most marginalised communities in southern Africa, traditionally practising hunter-gatherer lifestyles in the Kalahari region. Spoken Worldwide (formerly known for its oral Bible translation work globally) has prioritised scripture access for Kalahari oral communities, producing Bible story recordings for several languages in Botswana, including Tsoa. These "Spoken Worldwide Edition" recordings,'s Bible.is platform, provide the primary scripture resource for Tsoa speakers — a community with no reported printed New Testament or full Bible. The recordings bring key narratives from creation through the resurrection of Jesus in an oral format suited to the Tsoa community's primarily oral culture.
