The Ihievbe Audio Bible is a Scripture resource produced by the Nigeria Bible Translation Trust (NBTT) for speakers of the Ihievbe language, an Edoid language spoken in Owan East Local Government Area of Edo State, Nigeria. The Ihievbe people are part of the broader Afemai (Owan) cluster of communities in the upper Edo State region. NBTT, established through a partnership with SIL International and the University of Nigeria in the 1970s, took on responsibility for Bible translation among Nigeria's minority language groups and has carried out over 107 projects across the country. The Ihievbe audio recording is distributed, making spoken Scripture accessible to community members regardless of literacy level.
