Izere Bible (IZZWBT)

Overview

The Izii Bible is a complete Bible translation published in 2014 by Wycliffe Bible Translators in cooperation with the Abakaliki Literacy and Translation Trust. The Izii (also spelled Izhi) people live in Ebonyi State, southeastern Nigeria, with approximately 540,000 speakers. [1] New Testament editions appeared in stages from 1980 through 2001 through the International Bible Society and Nigeria Bible Translation Trust, before the full Bible was published in 2014. [1] The Izii translation is part of the Abakaliki cluster of languages alongside the related Ezaa and Ikwo peoples. [1]
