The Kala Scripture resource provides Gospel content in the Kala language of Papua New Guinea, produced through Wycliffe Bible Translators and distributed via the Scripture App Builder (SAB) and Bible.is platforms. The Kala language (ISO 639-3: kcl), spoken in Papua New Guinea and also known as Apoze, Gela, Kela, Kelana, and Laukanu, is one of hundreds of languages in a country that is home to approximately 12 percent of the world's languages. The primary available material includes the Gospel of Mark presented through nine animated video segments covering Mark chapters 1–16, as well as audio resources from the Global Recordings Network. SIL Papua New Guinea, which has partnered in over 220 New Testament translations across PNG, supports the broader translation and Scripture distribution effort in Kala and neighboring languages.
