Overview

The New Testament in Konda-Dora, titled "కొండ బాసదు నెగ్గి కబ్రు" (2006), is a translation into the Konda-Dora language, a South-Central Dravidian language related to Telugu and spoken by the Konda-Dora scheduled tribe in the districts of Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, and East Godavari in Andhra Pradesh, as well as the Koraput district of Odisha [1][2]. The translation was published in 2006 and is copyrighted by the Konda Tribal Development Foundation (KTDF), which also maintains the kondadora.org community web portal for accessing the scriptures in various formats [3][4]. The Konda-Dora people, also known as Konda, Kubi, or Porja, number approximately 247,000, with around 41,000 speakers of the Konda-Dora language [5]. A separate New Testament translation by The Word for the World (TWFTW) is also available in the related Konda Porja dialect [6].
