Kamasau New Testament (KMSWBT)
Overview
The Kamasau New Testament (vernacular title: "Yumbui Ningg Wand Yuwon Ye") was published in 1998 by the Bible Society of Papua New Guinea. The translation was produced by SIL members Arden and Joy Sanders, who lived in Tring village in the East Sepik Province from 1977 to 1999. During that time they learned the Kamasau language, formulated an orthography, prepared literacy primers, and translated the New Testament. [1] The Kamasau New Testament was completed in 1999 by Arden Sanders together with community members Joseph Napori and Ignatius Amu. [1] The Sanders also compiled the Kamasau Practical Tri-glot Dictionary ("Wand Tuan Wand Puate"), first printed in 1995, edited by Simon Amu and Ignas Amu. [2]
