Tabo Aramia New Testament (and Portions) (KNVARA)

Overview

The New Testament in the Aramia River dialect of the Tabo language of Papua New Guinea, first published in 1993 and revised in 2006 and 2023. The translation was carried out by Wycliffe Bible Translators in partnership with the Bible Society of Papua New Guinea. [1] The Tabo people live along two river systems in a remote part of the Western Province. In September 2024, the Tabo community celebrated the dedication of the revised New Testaments in both the Aramia and Fly River dialects, with over 900 copies distributed. The Tabo church has grown from no functioning churches in 1988 to nearly 20 local churches today. [2] This edition is distinct from the Fly River dialect edition (KNVPNG).
