Kugama Scripture Portions — Nigeria Bible Translation Trust (KOWNBT)
Overview
This audio Scripture resource in the Kugama language was produced by the Nigeria Bible Translation Trust (NBTT), a national Bible translation organization established in 1976 through a partnership between the University of Nigeria and SIL International. NBTT currently manages over 107 translation projects in Nigeria's minority language communities and has been a foundational partner in bringing Scripture to languages that had no written tradition or Bible access. The Kugama people of Taraba State represent one of the many small language communities in Nigeria's linguistically diverse northeast for whom NBTT has provided audio Scripture resources. Audio Bible production through Faith Comes By Hearing is particularly vital for communities with limited literacy, enabling speakers to hear the Word of God in their mother tongue.
