Curripaco Bible — CLAN (KPCLAN)

Overview

The 2018 Curripaco Bible was produced by the Asociación Civil, Capacitación Lingüística, Antropológica y Alfabetización Nativa (CLAN), a Venezuelan civil association whose name translates as the Civil Association for Linguistic, Anthropological Training and Native Literacy. CLAN has been the primary organization serving the Curripaco indigenous community of Venezuela, working in Amazonas state where the Curripaco people live along the upper Río Negro and its tributaries near Maroa. The ScriptureEarth index describes this 2018 edition as offering a complete Bible with read-and-listen functionality, making it one of the most comprehensive Curripaco Scripture resources available. An earlier New Testament-level resource exists for the Curripaco language (KPCWBT, 1949), and a YouVersion edition of the New Testament is also available. CLAN works alongside Wycliffe's global network and has partnered with Faith Comes By Hearing to make the audio Bible accessible to Curripaco speakers across the Amazon basin.
