Mountain Koiali New Testament (KPXTBL)

Overview

The Mountain Koiali New Testament, titled Buka Tumute (also known as Iesu Keliso Hotoe Tumu), was published in 1981 by Wycliffe Bible Translators as the first Scripture translation in the Mountain Koiali language [1][2]. Mountain Koiali (ISO 639-3: kpx) is a Trans-New Guinea language spoken in the Koiari Rural LLG area of Central Province and parts of Oro Province, Papua New Guinea, with approximately half of its speakers being monolingual [3]. The language is distinct from the related Grass Koiari language, despite sharing a similar name [3]. The translation is distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivatives 4.0 license and is available in multiple digital formats through eBible.org and as a mobile application [2].
