Kimré 2007 Edition (KQPWBT)
Overview
The Kimre 2007 Edition is a New Testament translation into Kimre, an East Chadic language spoken by approximately 20,000 people in the Tandjile Region of southwestern Chad [1][2]. The language is also popularly referred to as "Gabri" [1]. The vernacular title of the translation is "Magtubu too tony binyare to korbi," and it was completed in 2007 by Wycliffe Bible Translators, Inc. [3]. SIL International, which signed a partnership agreement with the Chadian government in 1989, has provided linguistic and translation support to over 40 language communities in Chad, including Kimre [4]. The translation is available through digital platforms including the YouVersion Bible app and Faith Comes By Hearing [5].
