Karachay-Balkar 2000 Edition (KRCLIO)

Overview

The Karachay-Balkar New Testament and Psalms (Сыйлы Инжил бла Забур) was published in 2000 as a second edition by the Institute for Bible Translation (IBT), following a first edition in 1994. [1] The Karachay and Balkar peoples speak a Turkic language in the North Caucasus region of Russia, in the Kabardino-Balkar Republic and Karachay-Cherkess Republic. [2] Old Testament translation has continued, with the Pentateuch (Taurat) published in January 2025. [1]
