Friends Missionary Prayer Band Version (KRUFMP)
Overview
The Friends Missionary Prayer Band Version is a New Testament translation in the Kurukh language, published in 2012 by the Bible Society of India. [1] Kurukh (also known as Oraon or Kurux) is a North Dravidian language spoken by the Oraon tribal people across several states in eastern and central India, as well as in Bangladesh and Nepal. [2] The translation was produced through the collaborative efforts of the Friends Missionary Prayer Band (FMPB), an Indian interdenominational missionary organization founded in 1959 in Tamil Nadu that has undertaken Bible translation projects in 14 languages, including Kurux. [3] The text is written in the Latin script.
