Binukidnon, Northern Scripture Portions — Translators Association of the Philippines (KYNTAP)
Overview
This audio Scripture resource for Northern Binukidnon was produced by the Translators Association of the Philippines (TAP), a Philippine-based missionary organization that has been one of the most active groups in translating the Bible into minority languages of the Philippines. TAP employs approximately 50 missionaries who enter new villages to learn local languages, develop their written forms, and then translate the Bible using vernacular texts as a foundation for literacy education. The Philippine Bible Society collaborates with TAP in cataloguing and distributing available Philippine language translations. Northern Binukidnon (also called Binukignon or Karolanos) is spoken by the Bukidnon people of Mindanao, an indigenous highland community. Bible portions are the current level of Scripture available for this language, with audio access making Scripture available to oral-preference learners.
