Ladakhi Audio Bible — Davar Partners International (LBJDPI)

Overview

The LBJDPI Ladakhi Audio Bible is an edition produced by Davar Partners International (Davar) in cooperation with The Love Fellowship, distinct from the Wycliffe Bible Translators edition (LBJWBT) that has been available since 2020. Davar Partners International is an organization specializing in the production and global distribution of audio Bibles, partnering with Faith Comes By Hearing to reach oral learners in languages worldwide. The 2022 Davar Ladakhi audio production made the New Testament in Ladakhi available through the Davar Audio Bibles library and Faith Comes By Hearing's live.bible.is platform. This edition joins several other Ladakhi Bible resources including the Wycliffe edition, the Moravian Church colloquial translation (LBJMCV), and a Ladakhi Covenant version — reflecting the sustained interest from multiple organizations in providing Scripture to the Ladakhi people. The Ladakhi translation work has deep roots in Moravian missionary activity beginning in the 1860s, and these modern audio editions build on that historic foundation.
