The Ledo Kaili audio scripture resource produced by Kartidaya (also known as Wycliffe Indonesia) provides an audio edition of the Bible for the Ledo-speaking community of Central Sulawesi. Ledo Kaili is the most prestigious of the multiple Kaili dialects spoken in and around Palu, the provincial capital, as well as the Donggala and Sigi districts. [1] Kartidaya, founded in 1989, is an Indonesian non-profit organization focused on promoting and supporting Bible translation throughout Indonesia, currently serving over 60 language communities. [2] This edition differs from the earlier LEWWBT edition (the 1999 printed New Testament published by the Indonesian Bible Society); the Kartidaya audio resource makes scripture accessible to Ledo speakers through listening, which is especially significant in communities where oral engagement with scripture is more common than reading.
