Overview

The Open Malayalam Bible is the Indian Revised Version (IRV) in Malayalam, produced by Bridge Connectivity Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and released under the Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike 4.0 license, making it a freely redistributable and modifiable Bible translation. [1] Malayalam is spoken by approximately 37 million people, primarily in the state of Kerala, India. Malayalam Bible translation has a long history — the earliest translation was initiated in 1807 by Kayamkulam Philippos Ramban and published in 1811, known as the Ramban Bible. [2] The Open Malayalam Bible is a modern revision building on this tradition.
