Mato Bible (METWBT)

Overview

The Mato Bible is a complete Bible translation published in 2018 by Wycliffe Bible Translators. Mato is a small Western Oceanic language spoken by approximately 700 people on the north coast of Papua New Guinea, at the western end of Morobe Province. [1] The translation was produced by Scot F. Stober, an SIL linguist who collected linguistic data over 28 years and authored a Mato grammar sketch (2014) and dictionary (2020). [1] [2]
