Mango New Testament (MGEWBT)

Overview

The Mango New Testament was completed in 2020 by Wycliffe Bible Translators. Bible portions in the Mango language were first published as early as 1968. [1] The Mango people number approximately 96,000, living in the Logone Oriental region of southern Chad across roughly 250 villages in the districts of Doba, Kara, and Ninya-Pende. [1] The Comité de la Langue Mango (CLM) was involved in language development alongside SIL, and Tearfund has conducted literacy initiatives among the Mango since 1998, enabling approximately 900 adults to become literate. [1]
