The Mahle New Testament produced by the Bible Students Fellowship of Bangladesh (BSFB) and Hosanna was completed in 2021, bringing the New Testament to speakers of the Mahle language (also known as Mahali, Mahili, or Mahli). Mahle is an Austroasiatic language related to Santali, spoken across communities in Bangladesh, India, and Nepal. [1] The Bible Students Fellowship of Bangladesh is a national Christian student movement dedicated to helping students and graduates follow Jesus Christ and live out their faith, and their involvement in scripture translation reflects a broader commitment to making God's Word accessible in minority languages of South Asia. [2] In addition to the written New Testament, LUMO Gospel Film videos have been produced in the Mahle language, providing visual scripture access alongside the audio and text resources available.
